The ancient alchemists believed that, at specific days and hours, one could capture the essence of a planet and distill it into a talisman that held extraordinary powers. We have such a Venus Portal this Friday, May 20 - the first and most auspicious one this year. When Venus is rising (4:35 am PDT) or culminating (11:10 am PDT), you can capture her powers of attraction by making a special object that represents your heart’s desire. This could be a poem, piece of jewelry, painting, flower arrangement, or something else delightful. You can begin before the appointed time; just be sure to put the final touches on your project as Venus rises or culminates. You may also wish to light a candle as you work.

An important note: If you’re making a talisman for love, don’t attach it to a specific person (i.e. “please make so-and-so love me”). It’s better to hold an image or emotion of what your ideal love would feel like – then let Venus bring that to you as her wisdom dictates. The same is true for money: Rather than specifying where your abundance will come from, simply ask Venus to send you what you need.
