What’s up with the sudden resurgence of interest in UFOs? Yes, of course it’s connected to the recent release of a long-awaited government assessment of the mysterious flying objects. But why now? The timing is interesting, as it falls not long after the dawn of the Age of Aquarius at the Dec. 21 Jupiter-Saturn conjunction. And what could be more Aquarian than flying saucers?

According to the classified version of the report, US intelligence authorities have not found any evidence that UFOs seen by Navy pilots in the last 20 years were alien spacecraft – but neither did they rule it out. The unclassified version (due out by June 25) may shed more light, but don’t count on it. “I don’t think the report is going to tell us too much,” said retired senate majority leader Harry Reid. “I think they need to study it more.” From 2007 to 2012, Reid was part of a clandestine Pentagon operation that investigated military reports of UFOs. “They had hundreds and hundreds of these sightings,” said Reid, who’s keen to find out more.

He’s not the only one. Despite all the accounts of alien encounters and abductions over the years, nothing definitive has emerged, at least in “official” terms. Yet we long for confirmation that we are not alone in this vast universe. And now, in a time of such division and distress, the idea of “meeting the neighbors” (as long as they are friendly!) holds even more appeal. In this new, uncharted Aquarian Age, we crave a larger context for who we are – to know ourselves as galactic beings, as part of a greater whole. We need a reason to band together, to share an uplifting, transporting experience – and perhaps even agree on something for once.

That might seem like a pipe dream. But we’re coming up on a paradigm-shifting New Moon solar eclipse in mind-bending Gemini (June 10, 3:52 a.m. PDT) so anything could happen. At the very least, important downloads are at hand. It’s an annular (partial) eclipse, not quite as powerful as the recent total lunar eclipse, which shook things loose to prepare the ground for what is to come. If you haven’t already done so, you can now plant seeds for new beginnings – though they’ll likely have their roots in the past.

This is because the New Moon conjuncts retrograde Mercury at 19-20 degrees of Gemini – so it stirs up memories, as well as ideas and dreams from the past. When the Winged Messenger confers with the Sun, this is generally the best time of the retrograde cycle for taking action or making decisions. Yet the Sun, Moon and Mercury square mysterious Neptune, which can make it hard to see clearly – at least with the logical mind. But the intuitive mind and dream state should be unusually strong. Pay close attention to promptings and messages; write them down and ponder them. Be flexible and open-minded, but be careful of making assumptions.

Giving it even more impact, this lunation happens just four days prior to the second Saturn-Uranus square on June 14. Once again, the forces of change (Uranus) challenge the status quo (Saturn), and certain things crumble as others take form. Look back to the week of Feb. 17 to see what was up for you at the first Saturn-Uranus square, and what may therefore return for the next chapter of the cycle. Just bear in mind that the full story may not be told until the final Saturn-Uranus square on Dec. 23.

At the first Saturn-Uranus square, I began preparing my presentation on Astro Feng Shui for the Aquarian Age. I enlisted people to work with various parts of their homes at the last three New Moons, and got some fascinating results! I’ll be sharing them and much more on Friday, June 11 at 6:30 p.m. PDT in an online talk hosted by the San Diego Astrological Society. All are welcome, so please join us. (There will be a replay as well). Hope to see you there! Either way, have a revelatory New Moon eclipse.

Simone, your message is as timely as ever! It’s with relief, I have allowed the logical mind to take a back seat and trusted intuition to help me navigate seamlessly. My very best wishes for your upcoming presentation!

Thank you for your excellent article. I feel you are more accurate about these matters than you know, Much information has been hidden or dismissed overtime which could come to light sooner than we think in this astrological climate.
Megan Rose Medium on YouTube is the real deal as far as I am concerned explaining in detail, about extraterrestrial influences right now. I would highly
recommend watching her grounded delivery of this fascinating subject.

I hope your presentation goes really well. Will there be a new Astro Feng Shui
book on your findings? This sounds intriguing anyway.

    Kindest wishes,

    Stella

You’re so welcome, Stella! And thanks for the tip on the YouTube channel, I’ll check it out. My book Astro Feng Shui: Making Magic in Your Home and Life was published in 2011 and is available on Amazon. I have thought about writing a sequel based on my new research and may do so at some point. Many blessings!
